Mountain House Breakfast Skillet 10 Can Review

I opened up a can of the Mountain House Breakfast Skillet (scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage and peppers).  It was really good.  It would make a really great breakfast burrito.

Now I have 8 more serving left in the can (10 servings per can).

If you like eggs and sausage with hash browns, then you should like this a lot.
The eggs are big and fluffy and made extremely well and tasted just like a fresh egg should right after being made.

The sausage is juicy and tender and has a nice blend of spices in it that makes the overall meal more filling.

Also want to add that I Just had 2 servings of the breakfast skillet. The can was opened 20 days ago and the food is still fine.

The can has been setting in my den all this time at 72 degree regular room temperature.

Got two servings left in the can.

Update: the final 2 servings after 20 days of being opened. The food still tasted fine after re-hydrating it.

Mountain House Chili Mac with Beef (2 serving) Review

I Had the Mountain House Chili Mac with Beef for lunch at work today.  It was just like eating a fresh bowl of chili, but with some macaroni thrown in. I think the macaroni was just for filler, couldn't really taste it.  It tasted like a good bowl of chili. Lots of ground beef, beans, tomato sauce, etc.

having some corn bread on the side would have been really good with that one...  Also, could have poured that dish over some more macaroni or over some spaghetti to stretch it out more if needed.  You could also pour it over rice, like regular chili.

It didn’t have any negative side effects. But I did notice that after I ate the pouch of food, that I was full, and stayed full for about 3 hours. Then I got hungry, really hungry, right after. It was a Really Odd experience going from full to really hungry in a few minutes.
All in all it’s a really good product and I would buy it again.

Mountain House Pouch of Chicken Ala King (2 Serving) Review

So I had a Mountain House Chicken Ala King pouch. The quality was very good, tender chicken and noodles and veggies.  Flavor wise it is one of the better dishes.

Down side is it had too much salt.  When I eat too much salt I sometimes get a headache a couple hours later, and that happened.  So I like it but likely won't buy them very often if at all in future.

Mountain House Pouch of Beef Stroganoff (2 Servings) Review

For lunch today I had a 6 year old Mountain House Beef Stroganoff ready pack.
Never had one of those before today.  It's from my hurricane supplies that will expire next year.
The one I had today was very good.
Tasted fresh and the noodles were tender.
The beef was tasty and the sauce was creamy like it’s supposed to be.

An odd thing was how tiny the pieces were.
Beef was ground hamburger (it had a lot of beef) and each piece was a little smaller than a popcorn kernel
the noodles were all chopped up to be about an inch long or smaller.
Was too small to eat with a fork.  I ate it like really thick soup.
I guess they did this so it could be freeze dried easily.
None of this was bad just not eaten food that chopped up before.

So another good sample from a 6 year old ready pack.
